The London Beefeaters have started the season 2-0 and are putting up 30 points a game.

When looking at the formula for the Beefeaters early on one can deduce that it’s been the play of their offensive line that has fueled their success.  Without an offensive line, quarterback DJ Fonti would be forced to hurry his throws, and their running attack wouldn’t have the holes to run through.

The anchor of that offensive line is fourth year player Ameen Fattali.  He earned a CJFL Second Team All-Canadian last year along with an Ontario Conference All-Star nod.

He says playing in the CJFL is not only developing him into a fantastic football player on the field but is leading the Beefeaters off it as well. 

“The CJFL has helped me a lot to develop as a player,” he says. “The coaching staff, player development, and level of competition in the league have pushed me to improve every year. My team has invested a lot of time and effort into developing me both on and off the field. The CJFL has also helped me grow as a person by teaching me the importance of discipline, commitment and accountability. Playing in this league has allowed me to build lifelong friendships with coaches and teammates.”

Fattali and the Beefeaters are looking forward to continued success on the field when they host their rivals, the St. Clair Saints on Saturday afternoon at City Wide Park.
