September is Suicide Prevention Month—a time to remind ourselves that checking in, starting a conversation and simply being there for someone can make a difference.
For the London Beefeaters, this message is especially meaningful. In 2019, our Beefeaters family experienced the heartbreaking loss of our teammate Austin. His memory remains part of our team and is a reminder of why conversations about mental health and suicide prevention matter.
We encourage our players, alumni, families, friends and community to look out for one another. You are not alone, and help is available.
If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 9-8-8 anytime. In London, Reach Out is available 24/7 by calling or texting 519-433-2023. In an immediate emergency, call 9-1-1.
Stronger Together. Always.
