In a game with an eerily similar ending to the game against St. Clair here in London two weeks ago, the Saints scored late in the 4th quarter to grab the victory.

The first quarter was a low-scoring 15 minutes with London holding a 1-point lead at 3-2. London conceded a safety but London responded with a Brayden Rivard field goal from 29 yards.

In the second quarter London put 8 points on the board on a single on a missed Rivard field goal attempt and a touchdown on a fumble recovery by Hayden Kirkham who rumbled 15 yards for the major. Rivard made the convert. The Saints added a 23-yard field goal to make the half-time score 11-5 for the Beefs.

The only score of the third quarter was an 81-yard pass play by the Saints from QB Quinn O’Billovich to Ben Heath. With the conversion, St. Clair moved ahead 12-11.

Early in the 4th quarter St. Clair added to their lead when Tylin Davis scooped up a blocked punt and found the endzone after a 12-yard run. The convert made the score 19-11. With under 5 minutes remaining in the game, Beefeater QB Jackson Roth connected with Gabe Van Moorsel in the endzone from 6 yards out for a touchdown. The Beefs went for a 2-point conversion and Roth found Brandon Visouvath open for the score. The game was tied. With time running out, the Saints’ Makahya Williams plowed in from 3 yards out at the 14:26 mark of the final frame, icing the victory for St. Clair.

The Beefs had a net offense of just 179 yards in this defensive game. Leading the way on the ground was Dayshawn Jacobs with 42-yards rushing while Jason Leonard (1/45 yards), Gabe Van Moorsel (2/39 yards) and Brandon Visouvath (2/32 yards) led the receivers. Jackson Roth was 9/24 for 148 yards passing.

The defense was once again led by Sincere Green with 17 defensive points. Also having strong defensive games were Joe Velano (12 defensive points), Jaheim Ferguson (11 defensive points) and Noah Williams (10 defensive points)
